Talin Germain
Talin Germain, started working on cars the old-fashioned way – as an apprentice at a European repair shop in Raleigh, NC over 20 years ago. There he developed an extensive knowledge of Volvo, Mini, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, and Mercedes, but his real passion belongs to Porsche. Talin cut his teeth rebuilding engines on air-cooled Porsches years ago and has since become an area expert in the brand. We are one of the only shops in the area competent in IMS bearing updates and we have extensive knowledge working with modern water-cooled engines for all Porsche models including 986, 996, 987, 997, 981, 991, 981.2, and 991.2. We specialize in hard-to-diagnose vehicle problems and performing repairs that require expertise and continued education. We pride ourselves in resolving issues other shops could not and have a determination for finding the right solution for each customer.
In addition to our Porsche repair expertise, we pride ourselves in maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry innovations for all other European vehicles. For example, we are one of the only shops in our area to perform the Mercedes balance shaft updates and we have years of experience repairing oil consumption issues with Audi and VW engines including crankcase ventilation system repairs. In addition to Euro car repair, we hold a special place in our hearts for the reliability of Asian vehicles. We will happily service and repair most Asian makes and models with a special consideration for Subaru, Toyota, and Lexus. We’ve done more Subaru cylinder head gaskets than we can count! And even though a 996 911 Turbo is Talin’s dream car, his daily driver is a Tundra equipped to haul engines and equipment, so he can understand and appreciate the simplicity and quality of Toyota.
